At Kasan Law, we accept referrals and co-counsel with other attorneys outside of our firm. Our referrals are pooled in from attorneys throughout the City of Chicago, State of Illinois, and the country. We regularly enter into fee-splitting relationships with referring attorneys.
We are proud to represent individuals, families, and businesses in a wide variety of civil litigation and transactional matters, that includes:
Whether the issue involves timing, scheduling, conflict of interest, or any other reason, we understand that attorneys are unable to always represent a client. If you are unable to handle a client’s specific matter, we are available to help and provide them with the trusted representation that they deserve.
Attorneys feel confident recommending our legal services to their clients because of our results, integrity, and communication. We are committed to making the referral process a smooth, positive, and beneficial experience for everyone involved. If we accept a referral, we draft an engagement agreement that explains the scope of our office’s representation, our co-counsel’s level of involvement, and any fee distributions. The engagement agreement ensures that everyone is informed and understands the agreement. If the distribution of fees is permissible, our referral fees and procedures are structured in full compliance with Rule 1.5, of the Illinois Supreme Court Rules of Professional Conduct.
At Kasan Law, we understand that each case is unique, and each attorney has different expectations and requirements regarding their involvement in the referred matter. Kasan Law invites referring lawyers to select their level of involvement in the referred matter. If you would like to participate as co-counsel or only be informed at critical points, our office is happy to accommodate your desired level of involvement.
At Kasan Law, our approach to lawyering enables us to efficiently provide creative, flexible, and individually tailored solutions to each client’s legal issues and specific needs.
